"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Is Wise better as the Devil than John Glover was in Brimstone?

Now, that’s an interesting question. Let’s give Wise a few eps. My gut reaction is that I liked John Glover more, but that was because of the random evil. Like when they’d be in a bookstore, and he would be ripping out the last page of every book, or moving a mousetrap behind someone so they’d step on it.

"Eat it, Heatmiser!!!" cracked my shit up totally.

It STILL makes me laugh

See, and I always saw that as taken straight from Peter Cook in BEDAZZLED. Granted, I think I didn't even see all the BRIMSTONE that aired, so I may have missed some good Glover bits. He was my favorite thing about the episodes I did see.

I totally love Ray Wise's avuncular quality. And I KNOW he can turn the scary on at the drop of a dime.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Peter Cook in BEDAZZLED.

You fill me with inertia...

The first time I saw that scene I was with a group of friends watching it on a movie night and we could NOT stop laughing.

"Remember the words of the poet: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by and they CANCELLED MY FRIKKIN' SHOW. I totally shoulda took the road that had all those people on it. Damn." Joss Whedon (on Bronzebeta.com)

Reaper: Someone wrote on whedonesque.org that ASH had tried out for the devil... now THAT would have been something, though I liked Ray Wise.

I think that we will see that at some point. He seems kind of affable now, but I think that [memfault main character's name] will challenge him at some point and it will get ugly.

oh, now I see lots of jokes about the devil being english

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Sci-Fi Friday! first rerun or SG-1, a Jonas era episode. I really like Jonas and wonder why people missed Daniel so much. Second, The Bionic Woman, though the way it was panned I have low expectations. Third is new Doctor Who! Fourth I switch to CBS for Moonlight and skip the dreck that is Flash Gordon. And fifth, new SG-Atlantis!

Wheeeee!
