I don't know where I got the idea that the extra pompous artist that Shanks is playing may somehow be a reflection of Shanks himself.
Yo no se, but I actually wasn't looking forward to this ep specifically because he was in it. As it got closer I started groaning and fearing it would be All. About. Him. and how Awesome. He. Is. I don't know where this antipathy came from.

they never did explain how Bev went from coming in from the cold "to strategize" to cooling her heels in a cell in Guantanamo. I was also looking forward to a whole lot more scheming behind the scenes from her. Instead we hardly see her all season and when she finally shows back up her entire gig is blown.
Right? Has DF been busy elsewhere, or were the writer's unable to think of a way from revealing what she was up to too soon? On one hand I'm delighted at her story that she had to stop them from working on the artifact because it was for the "greater good of mankind", but on the other, I so can't believe that Henry fell for it... or did he?
So on that very last bit, was that a holo whipped up for the occasion, or did Henry and Beverly convince Allison about the mutation?
Which bit? Where he walks into Allison's office and Beverly is with him --that Bev was a hologram for Allison's benefit? Or that Allison and Kevin were a hologram for Bev's benefit? Was that whole line about the mutation BS so that Henry could manipulate Carter, Henry and Stark (???). Or did he not tell Stark, nor Allison until it was too late, because he didn't want them to flee the building?
I don't know if I enjoyed this ep so very much. And I don't see how Stark, Allison and Henry's characters can recover from their actions and maintain their status (statuses? status'? statees?) in Eureka. Not without completely losing all hold on reality. But I think it's already halfway there with the devolvement of Jo and Allison.

will forever be known to me as the pothead from a random episode of

who licked a toad on camera. (It looked like a real toad!) That was probably 9 years ago now, but one doesn't forget instances of toad-licking.

From every interview he's given in the last few years? Though I do think he's a full-of-himself actor who's talented enough to keep any glimmer of that from showing through if a role doesn't call for it.
Last night I watched Reaper and then fell asleep about 5 minutes before the Eureka rebroadcast and woke to infomercials on SciFi. Oh well, hope they do the encore thing with it the next week or two.
The "plausible deniability" line was weak
As was the Paris Hilton joke. Old and unfunny.
Joe's performance was magic. He startled me when he turned on Beverly and you saw the potential violence in his anger. Dang. Don't want him mad at me.
And I'm tired of Ally as the anxious mom.
I am too, but the preview had a clip that looks like she really hits it out of the park next week. I know previews can be misleading, but I am interested in seeing her play that out.

Also, the science geek in me noted that if that bun warmer/cappuccino machine of Vincents actually turned to gold, Fargo wouldn't have been able to move it.
Of course, it wasn't *solid* gold, but... according to this [link] a 1 ft by 1 ft sheet of steel 1/16 inch thick would weigh about 2.5 pounds, whereas the same sheet in gold would weigh about 6.3 pounds.
Watched Reaper and liked it quite a bit, even if it is almost exactly the same show as Chuck. Or is Chuck almost exactly the same show as Reaper?

I feel like Jaime should have had a stronger reaction of some sort to everything that happened and was done to her - I don't know if it's the story or the way it's being told that isn't getting me.
I hated Katee in this. So OTT.
Yeah, she seemed off to me. . . but then she was supposed to be crazy, right?
