Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'd say it's not particularly any spoilier than knowing he shows up on Who post S1.
BBCA is showing the beginning of the Tennant doctorship, so the last episode was the one where they meet Queen Victoria and she decides to establish Torchwood. It's like living in the Doctor's universe where the timelines keep crossing!
Now I'm wondering if Jack wasn't part of Torchwood from it's inception. but if he's been on Earth for 100 years, why is his wardrobe exactly the same?
and it was good to find out who's hand that was.
I knew that the hand was the Doctor's, right away. I made the connection to the Christmas Invasion.
My brother tried to call me earlier this evening. I called him back and he said it had been to tell me he saw Michael Rosenbaum at the library. He had to get off the phone to go play an RPG with his friends.
quester, he's like the Doctor!
DCJ, and me. It was the one of many "oh, Jack" moments for me.
man that was a great episode but it sucks muchly that I have not seen season three.
I wish now that I hadn't been spoiled for the Master's return, because if I'd seen Derek Jacobi with that identical pocketwatch without prior knowledge I'd have assumed that he was a future incarnation of the Doctor. The reveal would have been much more shocking and fun.
Why would the TARDIS reject Jack when it and Rose made him what he is in the first place?
Nine would have been flirting right back.
The Doctor did seem to be flirting a bit with Jack later on, even if it was through safety glass. Though I wouldn't mind a return to their Season 1 (27?) closeness.
Jon, I remember Kevin's link like you do. I think Stark's interest in his wellbeing was evident before that, and is sincere.
Why would the TARDIS reject Jack when it and Rose made him what he is in the first place?
My own theory is that the TARDIS provided the power, Rose absorbed it and used it. Basically control was in Rose's hands. Maybe the TARDIS just didn't much like what Rose had done with the power in that specific instant.

and as I was unspoiled, it was!
