"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh, heh. I've seen exactly three episodes including tonight's; the other two were Tall Tales and The Usual Suspects (Unusual?). I've been assured I've been catching the massively meta -sodes.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was -- eh. I have comedic limitations. Also, not scary. Also also, comedic meta makes me think fondly about my old dreams of skewering the eyeballs of the guy who used to host the Daily Show before Jon Stewart, and roasting them over an open fire.

I am hostile that way.

infiltrating a prison to hunt? kinda nutty, isn't it?

Generally speaking, to get into a prison the old-fashioned way, you will get fingerprinted. Generally speaking, when your fingerprints identify you as a murderer in more than one state, you will not stay in the Little Rock county lockup for long (and for the remainder of your time there, you may be stared at intensely and fearfully by all and sundry who want to make sure they don't screw up before the FBI arrive).

So yeah, no. Not a smart move. I guess the fingerprint computer will be broken that day?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Nobody looks good in prison orange!

Jensen Ackles might be able to manage it.

That? Was excellent. I'm going to have to watch it again when I'm less sleepy (longest wedding rehearsal/dinner in the history of the free world). Dean is the biggest fanboy dork, and I love it. Maybe we've just spotted his career if he gives up hunting?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Am watching with DJ. We are squeeing and laughing.

I guess the fingerprint computer will be broken that day?

Word. Unless the FBI's fingerprint machines are as backed up as their DNA labs are, I think there will be some serious handwaving required to get past that element.

I can't imagine even Dean's dumb enough to think he can get arrested for something else and nobody will identify him. ... is he? I mean, he knows the FBI is after them.

What number was this week? 19? So we have 3 eps left? Oh, god, it's all angst and woobiedom from here on out.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I watched with Cass, long distance.

We are both huge dorks, but we laughed a lot.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

We are both huge dorks, but we laughed a lot.
Ginormous. And much laughing.

I was amused by the meta, lots, actually.

And now? Bring on the angst and pain and just a little more angst...

Are the next three in a row? We can't break again, can we?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This was 18. My head exploded from the meta, slightly.

Not that I didn't enjoy it. It's just mostly that, wow. My head exploded from it. Last time I saw something quite so self-referential was Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Which I own and have seen many times. So.

Right.

2x19 promo:

Wasn't that Agent HottyMcSmartcakes we heard in the background of the promo? It sure sounded like Agent HottyMcSmartcakes.

This may be due to my strong desire to see him again. But I swear, it was his voice saying all he knows blah blah blah, people turning up dead.

Hendrikson, Plei? (I know how to spell his name after writing him into two stories!)

If it was, that makes it even weirder, because they'd be sent to federal prison and printed and all and they'd never get out.

Ha! Yes, Hendrikson. I was too lazy to look it up again, can you tell?

I'm utterly unspoiled for it, which now has me speculating about it in ways that won't make sense outside my head. I'd assumed based on the county jail part that he wouldn't be at all involved, but now? Not so sure. It was a frustratingly unrevealing promo. In a good way.
