A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
When I got my first look at the Guardian (when he was fast-forward dicing the guy at the farmhouse), my immediate thought was "One of Pinhead's buddies is tweaking on crystal meth!"
That strobe light fast movement effect that looks so eerie on Samara and the ghost from Stir of Echoes? Looks ridiculous when Edgar Winter's chunkier cousin is using it to zip around like Speedy Gonzales.
Hee! I wanted Marco to hold up his hands as the camera spun around and yell, "I did it!"
Ha! So true.
Having watched the 4400, I was wondering how much it'd suck for Marco to have the power to appear anywhere there was a picture of Jordan Collier.
But only those places. I mean, if they're really having a new power for each person, they're going to have to be pretty specific.
Hee. And, what, Meghan can turn random things into flowers? Reeeeal helpful there. Although I suppose she can turn people's guns into flowers all the time now.
The 4400
seems to be taking its cues from
Lost.
Each finale, they shake things up and basically reinvent the premise. Now, instead of a world full of promicin shots, it's a Seattle full of p-positives.

Because she looked surprised and it seemed out of her control initially, I was wondering if her power was going to be a Midas touch thingy. She was using the pen at the time, and it turned, which can't have been real convenient. I would enjoy a future more if everything she touches turns to plants. But I want her to find this out before she gets into bed again with Tom.
Chuck: The thing I don't understand about it is how it can maintain itself. The premise is that he has had
all this government intelligence downloaded into his brain.
But won't much of
that intelligence be outdated in a year or two?
The best thing about the pilot was noticed by FAQWife. Near the beginning of the show, you can see a poster for
North By Northwest
in his room. Later, at the
LargeMart, there's a homage to the film with the forklift-cart thingies blocking his way from the terrorist guy (like the train in the movie).
Chuck: The thing I don't understand about it is how it can maintain itself.
Yeah, that was my big question too. Among other things which I've now forgotten, but that was the big one.
Me three. I thought it was fun (more so than I expected, even), but it felt like a movie premise rather than a series premise.
I think "Chuck" has a possible "Alias" vibe, which may make me watch it week to week.
Given links ita gave to BW news, I'm seriously contemplating not watching the show again. I don't see the point if the behind the scenes are so screwed up.
Really enjoyed the Highlander W&P. So I guess this means that Highlander vs. Mansquito is next?
le nubian - which links are those?
I thought that
Mark Sheppard was surely not old enough to be Jaimie's bf's father -
did that seem odd to you guys?
