'Bring On The Night'
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I think Sam Tyler really reaches a level of woobie not seen since Tim Bayliss. Ack.
Wow. Bayliss is my yardstick for woobiedom against which I measure all other potential woobies.
I have a dozen things to watch, but LoM S3 just went up to the top of the queue.
I did finally get around to watching Doctor Who 3x03, Gridlock though:
I loved this one a lot. The passengers in the cars or the hovermobiles or whatever the hell they call them all had character. I loved Brannigan, the Cat Person, the granny lesbian couple, and that dude with a bowler hat. And! Face of Bo! I suppose his cryptic remark for the Doctor not being alone means there are other Time Lords still out there? (I seem to recall hearing some vague rumours about this.) But most of all, I love the way the relationship between the Doctor and Martha evolved. Martha was just level-headed and smart here (without being all Mary Sue about it) and I *loved* that she just sat down on the chair and refused to budge until the Doctor gave her some answers. And then the Doctor talking about Gallifrey with such longing and wistful nostalgia in his voice! I'd never quite warmed up to Tennant, since I was too busy mourning Nine for most of season 2, but man, they've made Ten so interestingly broken this season so far that I find myself falling for him belatedly.
LoM S3 just went up to the top of the queue.
You mean S2? There is no S3.
LoM is one of those shows i've had on my HD to watch for a while now, but just haven't found the time to watch it. maybe after all this other tv goes off i'll find the time.
And I'm done. Going back to read the comments.
Yeah, LoM just jumped to the top of my must-watch queue. Are Region 2 DVDs out? I can do that.
You mean S2? There is no S3.
Right. I was thinking of New Who S3 so got confused.
Are Region 2 DVDs out? I can do that.
Amazon UK says yea.
No, Dana! Comment first!
Life on Mars finale:
Huh. Interesting reading people's reactions, especially Jon and ita. I had no problem with Sam's choice. I mean, it was obvious, at least from this episode if not from the whole series, that Sam was going to have to make a choice between one reality and the other, and once he left Annie and the others in mortal jeopardy, I knew he would go back.
Reading the various interviews that were linked here was interesting. Despite what the creators say, whatever they intended, I think the show is ambiguous, and I prefer it that way. If you go only by what was aired, I don't think the central question was answered definitively. Was he in a coma, was he crazy, was he somehow back in time? What mattered at the end is that he chose the life that made him happiest.
I'm really pleased with the whole thing, and looking forward to watching it again. (I am sort of technically watching it with my husband, but we've only made it up to series 1, ep 4. I skipped ahead. A lot.)
