Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

more about enjoying men fighting over her

I'll go with this thought. I don't know how many times I've had similar dreams. Once with Tom Cruise and my ex-fiance. I chose the ex-fiance.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Vortex is me. And dream!Sail rocks for ditching Tom Cruise.

Tom being gay and all, I think you went with the best choice.

You know, I've always wondered if I had a fabulous gay friend, who was really rich and I had a good time with and liked a lot and he asked me to marry him for appearance or visa purposes, whether I would do it. But, I digress

Agh! 'kay, I've not seen any of Eureka Season 2, so I'm all about the envious non-commenting there. But I have snagged several sets of DVDs lately. So, Blood Ties was good, eh? And Dresden Files really quite endearing too! I understand that TDF didn't get renewed? But I'm hoping that BT will be having a second season - anyone know the sitch? Also, Smallville Season 6 - much more fun than I'd have expected, overall.

Um. I return you to your regularly scheduled SPN/Eureka squee.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

You know how, in your dreams, you idealize yourself. Zoe probably wasn't just embarrassed about seeing her dad naked, she was probably also traumatized by his enormous schlong.

Though, wasn't Carter having an "I'm embarassed because I'm naked in public" dream? Would that be idealized?

(Then again, Allison dropped her coffee...)

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

And her gaze did linger.

He's a guy. Also, since he didn't realize that he was naked until Alison dropped her coffee, it was probably idealized, and then maybe would have shrunk.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I wanted to ask cferg how cold the "decontamination" shower was. From his reaction/acting it looked very cold. Brrr.

I wonder if Eureka's decontam booth also blow dries? I keep thinking of the hospital lifts on New New Earth in Dr. Who.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The powder after the blow-dry was a nice touch too.

As for Jo's dream, maybe it was as much about her subconscious need to explore other facets of her femininity - for which the passive object of desire was a symbol. Perhaps that side of Jo has been squashed so that it feels as though it is passive and powerless. Jo isn't shown as having any close female friends, yet she has been pretty responsive to Zoe's need for nurture. Jo is no Persephone, she is more of an Athena. But perhaps there is a bit of Cybele that needs to come out. Growing up in a house full of men, she would not have learned how to express that part of herself.

I find it interesting that of all the men who interact with Jo, with various levels of intimacy, Jack is the one who sees both aspects of her. Not only sees, but openly encourages her to be herself. Very interesting.

I love the dynamic between Jack and Jo. It's not quite reached the level of friendship that Mal and Zoe displayed (which makes sense because they haven't had the time together that M&Z had), but it could get there with time.
