Yes you did - he plays Glitch. Whoever that is. And Callum Keith Rennie plays Zero, have no idea how big his part is but I hope it's interesting.

As Ailleann said, Alan Cumming, but it's also got Neal McDonough (sp?) and Zooey Deschanel (again sp?). I saw a promo shot in TV Guide several weeks back. How they're defining the characters sounds like it's got a lot of potential.

I really liked this, I felt bad for Jack with his memories and trying to keep everything straight. I felt bad for Henry and I really thought he was going to wipe his memories too, until he smashed the thing. Which sets up an interesting dynamic between him and Jack. But I wonder if Henry was trying to set the part where Jack and Allison get back together straight with the book. I think Henry wiped Jack's memories so he could get another shot at bringing Kim back, that was the only way how, Jack would never let him do it and always be vigilant for that.

Seemed like this episode of Eureka was not nearly as comical as the typical previous episodes. I think I like the direction Eureka is going though. Henry's so dark now... and I like dark. And conspiracies... are always good. I just hope that they can keep up the comedic aspects of the show with the new tone.

The preview for next week seemed funny to me. Might be they can strike a good balance.

I don't think Henry's going to go all vengance on Jack--just that he doesn't want Jack interferring with his attempts to bring Kim back.

I like the way they did it. They set up possible relationships at the end of last season and then pulled the rug out from under us. Nice work.

That was a nice season opener, oh yes. I had a friend over who hasn't seen the show at all, and she was immediately caught up in the story and characters, which argues well that my enthusiasm isn't just coasting on the good feeling from last year....

On first watch, I’ve brought bro and SIL into the cult of Eureka. We watched, I gave background (glad for tivo so that we could pause and say “oh, that’s Jo, she’s developed a big sister relationship with Jack’s kid”)

Loved this ep. Colin really brought the quiet pain in the scene with Henry. the line “the woman I love is slipping away” had so much nuance. It was some terrific writing, but Colin’s delivery really sold it.

confidential to the girls rowr! on Colin in the shower. would have been a nice moment if Allison had appreciated it. but oh, well. I wonder why the timeline has diverged. As I recall, in the old timeline, Henry got the job as Director of GD. Also, did the artifact die in the other timeline ?

Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with the season premiere. I love this show a lot, and sometimes when you love something, you idealize it; and when you get the reality, it’s a letdown. I did not get let down.

Damn. What is Henry up to now?

He’s trying to recreate the circumstances that let him change the past, but now he thinks that he can fix the mistakes he made before. If he avoids a paradox (I can’t see how, but Henry’s a genius), then Jack never has reason to investigate the past, and everything goes on as before. Well, not exactly, but close.

Now, I’m assuming that Nathan taking the job in SF was what allowed Jack and Allison’s relationship to grow. I wonder what effect his sticking around will have?

Exactly! And the worst of it is that Carter will have absolutely no inkling that he should be wary of Henry.

I don’t think that Jack has anything to fear from Henry. As Henry says, he knows intellectually that Jack had to do what he did, but viscerally, he blames Jack for keeping him from saving her. I hope that Jack’s subconscious keeps him sharp.
