I hasten to add: not that I'm not looking forward to More Gene Hunt !
'Life of the Party'
Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
LoM: I didn't think that 2006 was so empty that he'd had to create the fantasy--just that he did, and once he got back realised he'd created a fantasy that preoccupied him so much that things he'd probably been just find with were hollow and unsatisfying now.
It made me think of the Buffy episode, "Normal Again" a little.
BSG: I think it's the best move for the show to be finite. I kind of think the writers will make more of an effort to show up where the hell we're going, instead of faffing around making Bad Decisions. I'd like some more narrative with my social commentary, please.

Yeah, if Buffy had given in to her fantasy of being "normal" and we were supposed to feel good about it. Unless being the Slayer was the fantasy... Dum dum dahhhh!
Also, about the LoM spin-off, from what I've read, the set up does makes a teeny bit of sense.
exactly, Jon. The thing that upsets me the most is that I lost a lot of respect for Sam. And I liked him. And I was rooting for him. And I was there with him on his journey. And the solution to his problems was to fall in love with the creations of his own mind so much that he kills himself to stay there. Did he even give his own time a real chance? Did he get any kind of help for depression or post-traumatic injury or narcissim or scitzophrenia or whatever? I can't buy that this is the best solution or his happy ending. Dude was FUCKED UP. FUCKED UP!!!!!!!!!
It... um... yeah.
Yes yes yes, Nora! And I believe your last white-fonted words were exactly the same ones I used to describe the ending (though perhaps with not quite so many exclamation points).
I still loved the episode and the series. Being upset definitely doesn't contradict that.
I'm not sure how that works in my brain, but it does.
