Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Oh, Sammy. Poor noodle.

And Dean. Other poor noodle.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is some seriously bad Samhair.

Poor Impala. Dean doesn't mean to take it out on you.

Fuck. This remains almost physically painful to see.

It really does.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dean really spends a lot of S2 feeling helpless, doesn't he?

Because books.

JA's quivering lip and the shaky breaths and the T-shirt all rucked up -- he put some serious angst into those swings and got the adrenalin really flowing.

It breaks me that he took it out on the car.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ouch.

(I said more but it was mostly ouch and broken and amazed and then b.org ate my post.)

What struck me was often he seemed to be assessing Sam. I could be reading into based on what I know of the rest of the season, but even here it seemed he was looking at Sam as if he was a ticking bomb.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

JA really is quite a good actor, isn't he? It's nice to see that, given that he could easily coast by on The Pretty if he wanted to.

Art Crawl!!!

I know! Poor Metallicar. And to think that they mean to do more to her! Hasn't she been through enough?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

They did give JA a lot of angst to play, and he does it so well. JP slipped under the radar with his impressive step up in acting ability. He'd been whiny brattish early twenties WB guy, and without me, at least, paying attention, he grew into a real actor. Sort of like DB did.

It's incremental, and one particular episode he suddenly blows you away (IOHEFY, HotH) with his performance. But when you rewatch, you can tell it was building all through the season.
