"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I know. I think I'm more disturbed that people will actually start reading mine.

I've gotten as far as beginning my profile in LJ, and actually friending some people (mostly Buffistas, and some SPN fic writers), and trying out some style formats, but I haven't actually posted anything. As LJ keeps reminding me. It just seems like a first post ought to be something memorable or eye-catching, and I haven't been feeling all that creative. Aileann, if you'd like another "real person" to add to your list, although at the moment I won't be adding a lot to it, I'm morgana_st on LJ.

Ooh, I know what I want to talk about! What interpretations do people have of Sam's extremely angry face when he offs Jake? Other than "ooh, I've gone a bit evil!"

I haven't rewatched it yet, but since I was yelling "Just shoot the bastard!" at the TV, I'm not overly worried about Sam being evil. Sam was righteously pissed off -- Jake had tried to kill him (Sam didn't know for sure yet that Jake had indeed killed him), was in league with the YED, was trying to kill Ellen, and was most likely about to attempt to kill off the rest of them. He needed to be stopped. Given his new, even stronger super powers, there weren't a lot of other ways to do that. Sam had already tried reason, and to join forces with him once, and got stabbed in the back. There was no time. Lethal force seemed the way to go to me.

Morgana, I have friended! As for writing stuff, maybe just a "hey, welcome to my place, pull up a chair and have a drink" kind of post? I did that ages ago.

(Does anyone else feel like LJ's a bit like electronic elementary school? "Hey you, I want to be your friend, will you be my friend?")

Lethal force was definitely the way to go, I think. But I thought the blood on his face seemed like a call back to Bloodlust and Dean's splattered face and dead eyes. (I think I'll have to rewatch. Woe.)

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I had some questions on my livejournal and I was hoping someone here could help me answer...

In Supernatural 2x22 - When the Gate of Hell was open, how did the demons get past the devil's trap? Did they break the railroad tracks on their way out? How? If not, then what happened?

Art Crawl!!!

I think that in order for the YED to get in at all- the devil's trap had to be broke. Could Jake have done it on his way in?

I suppose he could have, but the break didn't seem anywhere near the road that Jake walked in on.

Also, to me it sounded like there was breaking/bending metal as the demons exited the devil's trap - the metal was still glowing red hot at the same time.

Could this be a possible continuity slip-up?

I just checked that spot (*hugs my Tivo*), and it does look as if the dark cloud that just emerged ripped through the train track, including bent and still-red-hot metal.

Perhaps it's similar to how Meg was able to do something when she possessed Sam to hold herself to him... perhaps evil in that large a quantity, fresh from Hell, could break through the devil's trap?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, the Hellsmoke burned right through the iron of the railings.

If they could do that, the devil's trap really was to keep demon's out so that they could open the gate. Because it sure didn't do a very good job of keeping the demons IN.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I think opening the gate opened the trap--it was all tied together.

I'm looking forward to less emo and more kickassery next season, frankly. I do love emo, but I think last night put me over the edge of the manpain. Neither boy is allowed to weep for at least the first half of season 3--learn to repress! Repression is your friend! Because then you can emote through destruction, which is more fun (for me) to watch.

A theory I have seen is that Sam's rage at Jake was misdirected rage about Dean's bargain, because he'd figured it out.

Definitely!! The emo is okay every now and then, but too much and the show just gets depressing.
