I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I also think it was John's silent way of praising Dean for doing what he asked... saving Sam.

And welcoming him to the club.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

(I did like that moment at the end of the episode when Sam *finally* got it through Dean's head that Sam would sacrifice just as much for Dean as vice versa.)

And at the end of one episode (I don't remember if it was earlier this season or an episode in season 1, which I've been watching) Sam tells Dean he would die for him. It's definitely not the first time he's told Dean, but it's the first time Dean's believed him. Another nice callback to a previous episode. Continuity, how I love thee.

Continuity, how I love thee.

The continuity on this show continues to surprise me with its kickassery.

Wasn't that "Bloody Mary"?

Thrive to spite them

I was a tiny bit worried that there was going to be some weird ass pull at the end to get things wrapped up and I was so glad there wasn't.

I'm pretty sure it was. It's the last episode I watched last night. But I've got a crap memory for these kinds of things, so I didn't want to say that was it.

I can't resist. I put in the pilot episode.

Oh! I'll be laid up end of next week because of my wisdom teeth surgery and I can alternate between watching Dolph Lundgren movies and watching all of Supernatural.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You know how, when you were a little kid, and you spun in circles for a while (kind of like flailing), until you made yourself dizzy, and your head was spinny and you couldn't decide if it felt good or bad?

That's kind of how I feel right now.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

That's kind of how I feel right now.

Me, too.

Acting/dialect note - JA's Texas sure as hell came out when he was talking to Sammy's corpse, except when he said "sorry". That was pure Canadian.

Show, how I love thee and clasp thy continuity (and hot actors) to my bosom.
