That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Tommy, I am so sorry. I really hope they can figure out what's up with Senor and make him better.

Hang in there, Senor!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What is the etymology of "made of fail and X," does anyone know?

Also, what is everyone doing tomorrow? I have a headache, so I dunno if I am going our one-day trip to NM tomorrow. We have gear to drop off for the music camp our Navajo buddies are putting on, but we're not doing anything else over there, so it's not vital I go. But otoh, I dunno if I want the SO driving 12 hours alone on the biggest travel day of the summer.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got to meet Grace and Noah! They're tiny bundles of biology and technology and Noah in particular was misbehaving and sending his monitors wild. Noodles indeed.

And, of course, saw Kat. Which was cool and pretty long overdue.
