Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just had a kind of pathetic revelation: I've been dreaming about taking an at-home vacation to just relax around the house, since I have at least two weeks banked at this point, but I just realized that this weekend might do the trick, now that my parents aren't here.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Jesse, do you have any home stuff you've been putting off. That is what I always plan on doing in my (not yet realised) stay at home vacation.

Yeah, some of that, some hanging around the city, some just sitting on my ass. I have done part of all three today! Which is why I'm hoping that by Tuesday I may have my attitude readjusted.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm not saying the monk was a shill... but that would be funny. "OK, go talk to that one, I'm about to drive her to the train."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Alexyss Tylor is my new hero.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They say you can't con an honest man. But you can rob him, so what's the deal?

Watching Hustle, as if you can't tell. Grifters with a heart of gold and all that. I like the show, and I don't mind cheering for les than spotless antagonists. But I swear last season they said they didn't steal, yet just this last ep I watched they robbed a clothing store without blinking. Don't get the air of moral superiority they keep putting forth.

hip deep in pie

Overheard on another thread:

Here's something nice, this movie Waitress...sent out this note today saying they are doing something called "Random Acts of Pie-ness" where there will be trucks in NY, Chicago, SF, Miami, Philly, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, and DC all weekend handing out slices of free pie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Was that the Vegas one? I couldn't pay attention because I couldn't get past them getting hired to work in casinos -- I've watched too much CSI not to believe that everyone who works in any capacity is fingerprinted in a master database.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I often don't understand the fine distinctions they make on Hustle between stealing and grifting.

I mean, how is it not stealing to lift someone's wallet on the street? And they do that all the time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mostly, I think they're lying to themselves to make themselves feel better. They're CLEVER! Not common thieves!

Crap. Even though I had a big lunch pretty late, now I want dinner. But enough to get/make it? Unclear.
