move out and draw fire

Ugh, Vortex. I didn't realize the locked-out-ma was catching.

well, i'm in the apartment now. the cute nice maintenance guy was on call (actually, they're all nice). The problem was that the plate in the door frame pulled out of the frame and bent so that I couldn't get the door open. He had to replace the door plate and it was fine.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I talked to the emergency vet people - Senor is still doing about the same. I think his blood sugar is more normal, but they say he's still extremely lethargic and his body temperature is still low. So they think maybe something else is going on too.

Now I'm all paranoid. My apartment maintenance guy sprayed the building for bugs yesterday. It was supposed to be something that was safe for pets... so it was probably just a coincidence that Senor suddenly became very ill after they did their spraying. But I called the vet hospital and talked to the receptionist, who will pass the bug spray info to the vet.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm glad it worked out easily, Vortex.

eta: I hope they figure out what's up with Senor S. soon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad it got fixed quickly, Vortex!

That's scary about the bug spray. I hope S. Sock is OK!

There's surprisingly little traffic for Memorial Day weekend. Nevertheless, I plan to not leave the house again today. It's bloody hot and muggy out.

Punishingly Intricate

I hope Senor Sock is Okay, Tommy.

Yes! Poor little guy! I hope there's nothing else going on.

My diabetic cat's diabetes came on gradually, mostly I noticed he had lost weight. He's done well on the insulin but sadly has shown no signs of the diabetes going away. I've known some other cats who have gotten over it though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I should join a Zen monastery. Thing is, I want to be a monk, not a nun. Chicks can do that, right? I actually think I've met a female Buddhist monk. I wonder what the distinction is.

Knees suck. That's not news. Building a better mousetrap is all well and good, but how should a better knee be designed? I want something specific to dream of when I'm doing my PT exercises.
