Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Warren Ellis just told me that I'm beautiful and destined for great things.

And why would he lie?

I just had a magical 15-minute burst of productivity, and can now leave with a clear conscience.

We can not leave early today because it it graduation. This is a HUGE improvement because it used to be that the staff was required to help with graduation and graduation was always the Saturday of the holiday weekend. Glad I didn't work here then!

I am supposed to be at graduation right now, but as there were no seats, and I'd already been standing on my feet for 3 hours, I decided AWOL was a good choice.

Warren Ellis just told me that I'm beautiful and destined for great things.

Well, yeah. We knew that.

move out and draw fire

Warren Ellis just told me that I'm beautiful and destined for great things.

I always thought he was smart. It's nice to have my beliefs proven.

I'm on hold with support. That "leaving at 3" thing isn't looking so good.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And why would he lie?

Exactly.

We don't get to leave early, but no one is asking me to do any work, so I can sit here and pretend I am at home reading fic.

It almost works, and there is less cat hair involved.

What are people doing this weekend?

Okay, I'm finally off the phone with tech support, although I've been on the phone so long that my ear hurts.

We never close early, short of losing power or the weather turning really, really bad. Oh & humongous national disasters where everyone freaks the hell out.

So not very often. Maybe 3 times in 10 years?

And of course, I'm sitting here obsessing about whether I'll have a/c or not, and how trashed my apartment will be and if the cats will be traumatized and ... 70 more minutes. And I have no idea what I'm doing for dinner.

What are people doing this weekend?

Um, not watching TV except what's saved on my TiVo (or what I have from Netflix), since we have no satellite right now. Definitely cleaning the bathroom. Maybe some writing and shoe-shopping.
