"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

She was awesome but I got her too late to overcome my math phobia.

I had an awesome math teacher my junior year. If I'd had her for algebra, I could have kicked ass. As such, I had her for Algebra II/Trig, and was WAY behind.

She is very interested in Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine.

Did she ever find anyone to talk to? It occurs to me (now, d-u-h) that our friends have a son at UC Berkeley who is going into this. He went to Oak Tech and played on the basketball team and has used his connections to travel with the Cal basketball and football teams. He's a nice kid.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay for 1860! Sounds like she'll have a good selection of schools even without retaking.

She is a strange kid. Every time we have found someone in the field for her to talk with, she has balked. Our next door neighbor is a PT Assistant and we suggested asking if she could shadow her for a day...so far she hasn't asked.

Sparky - you friend's son is a smart cookie.

His bff from Oak Tech [link] is on the Celtics, now. So, yes -- he's been lucky to have connections and smart in using them so far.

eta: If you she gets up her courage to talk to people at some point, I'd be happy to put her in touch.

Art Crawl!!!

1860 sounds pretty good to me! Congratulations!

Good to hear that Teddy is doing so well. And I'm happy that you don't have to rehydrate him (is that what you call it?) every day.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Our IT group's intranet page has a link for you to "download hardcopy" of something or other.

Neat trick if they can do it, but it was my understanding that IT people laughed at people who do things like that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Vacuum tubes!

eta: Or, you know, those tubes that suck messages through them....

Okay, so I'm trying to troubleshoot this thing? And when I try to add an order number, it says it already exists. When I try to modify the order number, it says it doesn't exist. Conundrum!

I think I shall go smoke now before I try to reach through my computer monitor and rend things with my bare hands.
