This is oversharing, so I'm going to whitefont it and hope that my Mom isn't a lurker: There's a whole endorphin thing that happens with a good spanking, or flogging -- in fact, a Russian study proved that a good beating alleviates despression (no, really!) -- and when I'm in a pissy, cranky mood, sometimes the only thing that gets me out of it is a good flogging. Of course, the MASSIVE difference between me and the crazy spanky Christians is that I asked for it, and it's not doled out as a "corrective" measure for my transgressions.
