Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

hopefully I won't get another fucking angled bob.

I have sometimes found it surprisingly hard to get a haircut different from the one I walked in with, which I just don't understand.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kat, I am sorry to hear about you and Lori. I had no idea but I wish the best for both of you and for the babies, of course. I think I may have a few more pair of preemie-sized, hand-knitted baby booties I'd like to send to you.

DH called in to work again today--this cold has gotten to everyone and he's just miserable.

With the extent of this wet pet food recall, I've decided we're switching Oswald to dry food. He's not going to be happy but I'm paranoid I've been poisoning him. It didn't help getting an email from Petsmart indicating our buying records show we've purchased recalled food--even though we checked the pantry and it was long since consumed by him.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ugh, Cashmere, that's scary. I'm glad all I feed the furballs is dry food, and occasionally tuna.

Kat, so sorry to hear about you and Lori. What a rough time. Love to you both and the kidlets, and here's to keeping nose out of it-ma.

I run into this problem. When I tell the stylist that I'm open to suggestions, they just kind of stare at me blankly. Kind of like how they need me to reassure them that I will not freak out if they cut off 8 inches of hair. It makes me wonder if people have sued them over a bad haircut.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Do folks know that the Vulcan "live long and prosper" hand sign is actually an old Jewish hand sign? (I forget what it means.)

Nimoy adapted it from sneaking peeks at the Kohenim blessing the congregation when he was a boy. No noone was supposed to look and now it's everywhere and for some reason that tickles me.

Bones for Stephanie: Brennan's Dad reappeared about half a season ago, via the resurrection of an old FBI case and evidence that Brennan's folks discovered in one of their bank robberies. There were threats to Brennan and her brother, and her dad reappeared to make it *very* clear that messing with his kids led to a very messy end.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It makes me wonder if people have sued them over a bad haircut.

Yeah, totally! I always tell them straightaway that I'm comfortable with the razor, I'm comfortable with a radical length change, I'm also really mellow and not going to kill them if it's an eighth of an inch shorter than I asked.

Anyway, I got my coffee (dark chocolate mocha with vienna chocolate mint flavoring) and I calmed down and...

I got a totally awesome haircut! She completely rocked. She listened to everything I said, carefully looked over the photos, discussed the cut with me before we started, checked for feedback along the way, made adjustments to the cut & style because of the texture and weight of my haird, and totally did an expert job. I so have a new stylist.

It looks more like the cut I want than what I actually described or asked for, so she really was paying attention. Plus it did help that she'd seen and liked the movie. Despite my concerns, she had so much fun with the cut and pooh-pooh'd the stylists who had previously given me crap over it.

OMG so happy!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There should be some Bones/Supernatural crossover fic, where we find out that the real reason that Brennan's mom & dad were on the run is that they were Hunters.

I don't actually have any real ideas on what I want to do with my hair, so I suppose that doesn't help the stylist much, either.

Bah.

Yeah, I do like to give the stylist latitude, but they need to know me for a little bit first. I miss my good friend Ernst, who was the best with hair ever, and I could just walk in to his shop and say okay, and he'd do whatever he wanted with me and I would look fabulous.

How long is your hair now, shrift? Are you looking for a big change? What do you want in terms of ease of maintenance, styling options, etc.?
