Our wings are not tired.

{{Dana}} Damn, what a tough case to sit on. Makes me grateful my one and only time was a goofy civil case. We don't get called often. Twice in 27 years here. I got a certificate of thanks thing. Still have it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I call bullshit on this L&O: SVU episode I'm watching. Munch is doing a whole monologue about when he was a teenager on the Lower East Side. He's from Baltimore! There was a Homicide ep about a girl he loved in high school! Again, I wonder why I care more about this than the people who work on the show(s).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Munch is doing a whole monologue about when he was a teenager on the Lower East Side.

Hmm. I also remember a L&O crossover where he discovered Jerry Orbach was dating one of his ex-wives, which sort of implies he was in NY at some point. Where's erika?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, the ex-wife could have moved, easier than he could have grown up in two places.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure why it surprised me, but he was African American. I generally attribute that sort of thing to skinheads for some reason.

Heh. Yeah, no, black people are incredibly not immune. It's...well, it's not common, but I've probably heard more black people talk like that than white--perhaps because the white people in question don't want to converse with me much.

Dana, you did your duty. It sounds wrecking, but needed.

msbelle, I'll check. I figured opened was tainted, but I'm good with giving it to whoever. Since throwing it away patently didn't work.

Called back guy who might want to date me that I don't want to date, although...it sounds like the classic nice guy brushoff, but he is nice. And I have migraines. Went straight to voicemail--I'd say that's good, but it took me forever to return the call, so I am the bad guy.

I have a diatribe about the thoughtlessly privileged welling in me. Understanding of course that I am just that to some people. Mostly I'm just hating the other shoppers in the Westwood WholeFoods--if I'm thinking the Bristol Farms down the street has more down to earth people, something's terribly wrong.

Allyson, I've been talking up your book to two of the instructors who work in TV. One's an executive producer and the other...I'm not sure exactly what he does now, but he's trying to get a gig doing the MTV web site. They think it's mega cool. They don't know about the subtitle, but I think it'll be okay.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love wikipedia. [link] They lay it all out and suggest maybe he only moved to Maryland for high school. Of course, the character also has multiple stated ages, so maybe he did grow up in different places! In the multiple realities, I mean.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm watching MTV programming for the first time in forever because I dig the Human Giant guys. It's weird and with The State sketches they're playing, I'm a high school loser home alone on a Friday night again!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm now watching New York 1. I win at loser!

But seriously, they just showed a clip of the state senate president saying "effing." For reals. He was apparently trying to be delicate in quoting the governor's "I'm a fucking steamroller."

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Munch is doing a whole monologue about when he was a teenager on the Lower East Side.

And now I'm earwormed with the Magnetic Fields.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, I think Munch could sing that song and pull it off....
