Job starts the 18th. I have to be in NY on the 8th for my friends' 40th. I had hoped to see my family in France while my stuff was in transit but the logistics of that combined with NY combined with the long-distance move were crazy. Basically, I'm moving so little that movers will initially only give a 6- to 15-day delivery window on the other end--not so good for planning purposes. So I'm flying straight out and then back to NY the next weekend. Hopefully, my stuff won't arrive either of the two days I'm in the Big Apple.
megan, you are quite the bi-coastal jet setter! Hope everything goes soooooper smoothly!
Any chance I'll get to see you when you're in NY?

That reminds me of one of my favorite
New Yorker
cartoons. A man says to his parents, "Mom, Dad - I'm bi-coastal," while the mother cries on the father's shoulder...
ooh I think we just booked a show with my favorite lady ukeleleist Tippy Canoe!

I also enjoy the Dinner: IMpossible when I catch it. Irvine cracks my shit UP.
If any Chicago-istas are looking for something to do this weekend, the city is offering a weekend of free architectural tours, most of which you can register for on the morning of the tour at 224 S. Michigan at 7:30 am. There seem to be literally dozens of them on both Saturday and Sunday.
Anybody here?
Oh, well, I guess I'll post about the cute poodle mix I saw on the Pet Adoptions OnDemand clips--his name was "Frankenfluffy"!! Really adorable mid-sized dog with long white hair.
I saw him too -- adorable!
Hey, I noticed that Waitress is playing in Chicago - but just in town - anyone going to see it?
I've seen commercials for Waitress on the TV today, must go see.
