Lawmakers Find $21 A Week Doesn't Buy a Lot of Groceries.

I love this idea. But I was confused by the opening. Wouldn't eggs be one of the best protein bangs for your buck (besides maybe dried lentils or beans)?

move out and draw fire

She even named him by combining Hubs's and my names.

That may be the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I'm glad he's eating the chews.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bah. Stupid brain. It doesn't want to do anything complex at the moment. Unfortunately, that's not an option.

I may have to resort to more caffeine. Which I'd rather not do, as I've been having free-floating anxiety issues lately.

A lot of people think eggs are bad for you.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac isn't feeling well. he slept an hour later than normal. I decided at about 6 to just see how he did and not wake him up. He slept until I woke him up yesterday and then complained of not feeling well last night. Neither normal.

So this morning, I turned off the alarm when it was to teh time he would have normally been up. Then I just decided to let us both sleep in and see how it progress form there. He is pretty low energy, but I think we will go into my office or at least out of the house after lunch.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Not the issue here, though -- the article specifically says he didn't buy them because they were too expensive.

I think eggs are tricky because they're harder to stretch than things like hamburger, especially if you can't afford vegetables.

Trust my rage

poor mac - it's so hard when your kids don't feel well. I hope he perks up!

I saw a thing on the food stamps this morning on CNN. The meals they were eating did not look appetizing at all. I noticed also, that they were all drinking water. I usually drink water myself, but seeing a glass of water and a palte of lettuce with some lentils was just sad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Scrambled eggs and hamburger! It was actually funny in a sad way when a friend of mine realized that all of her family "comfort food" meals were actually poor food meals -- various combinations of rice, eggs, hamburger, and frozen vegetables.
