Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There was a funny article in the Times recently about the stuff that people leave behind when they move, and one of the items mentioned was a whip.

Ann, that's a ferret.

We got the word on Teddy's latest blood work, and it isn't good.

The calcium levels are down a bit, but so is the potassium. The worst part is that kidney functioning is down by quite a bit, even over the last month. Plus, he's down half a pound.

We're jump starting him on prednisone plus daily IV fluids. If that doesn't help, we're probably talking about no more than a few months. And there's no assurance that it'll do the trick.

More blood work next week.

The vet thinks it may be lymphoma, but she recommended against tests because Teddy would have to undergo anesthesia. Which carries a high risk of causing complete kidney failure.

Hubs is already falling to pieces. Which means I have to be the strong one.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I need a Tier 2 alliance partner solution.

What's scary is that this sentence makes sense, and is something I'd probably use at work.

But then, today at work, I was talking to a coworker who just got back from Europe (she went with two other coworkers, and her husband, who also works at the company), and asked if they'd drafted a spec for the trip before going, or perhaps worked it all out in Project first.

I was only mostly kidding.

Oh, Fred Pete, I'm so sorry. Poor you, Hubs, and Teddy.

Oh, you poor guys. You don't have to be the strong one here.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm so sorry, Fred.

Aw, Fred, I'm sorry for y'all. I hope things go better than it seems now. And if not, strength to you. I know the feeling.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm so sorry, Fred.
