We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I would say that today's Asshat of the Day award goes to the teachers who thought it would be a good idea to stage a gun attack on 11-year-olds.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not clicking. Denial's not a bad place to live. And I need to avoid tension--wanting to kill people I can't even reach is kind of a gimme.

Punishingly Intricate

Happy New Nephew, sarameg!!!

I just found out Friday that my SiL, mother of my two nieces extraordinare, is pregnant. Very exciting. Younger niece will be 6 this summer so it's been a while. She's still pretty early on but doing well so far.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I would say that today's Asshat of the Day award goes to the teachers who thought it would be a good idea to stage a gun attack on 11-year-olds.

What boggles me is that more than one teacher thought it was a good idea....

Even moreso, the teachers kept saying that THIS WAS NOT A DRILL, that it was real. I mean, what the FUCK?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just found out yesterday that one of my stepsisters (this is the first time I've ever called her such--she is usually "Wayne's daughter" in my mind, because, unfortunately, Wayne didn't live long enough for me to comfortably call him "stepfather", even though that's what he was), who's been going through IVF for a few months now, just got a confirmed positive!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing happens, and that she and Justin end up with a bouncing baby in 8 months.

What is even happening?

Even moreso, the teachers kept saying that THIS WAS NOT A DRILL, that it was real. I mean, what the FUCK?

And even moreso that they were away on a week long trip. I'd have their heads, if they'd done that to my kid.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm shaking my head so hard my eyes may dislodge.

Let's scare some children with an all too possible fake incident. Sweet weeping Jesus. What could the learning objective possibly be here? Um. Your teachers think so little of you that they'd terrify and humiliate you on a whim.

I just...I can't...oh, never mind.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Wait a second, Gud. Clearly those kids are related to your kids, but they are FAR TOO BIG to be your actual kids, right? Those are some older cousins or something??

This is a more than reasonable theory. I think we can all live with it.
