You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I feel like I'm never getting out of this hellhole.

Give yourself a bit more time. The apartment is treating you badly enough--don't exacerbate that. Just try and keep focussed.

Ach! I can't find the right file!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait a second, Gud. Clearly those kids are related to your kids, but they are FAR TOO BIG to be your actual kids, right? Those are some older cousins or something??

Cripes, I'm old.

Oy. I only managed to sock away about 500 bucks toward moving. I feel like I'm never getting out of this hellhole.

The last week in June.

I like this juxtaposition.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

How did those kids get to be so big, Gud?

Coding and Sleeping

Weird huh? I guess that's what happens when you keep feeding them.

Compassionately intolerant

Speaking of feeding...good heavens!

Over at Cuteoverload, there is a video of a fellow vacuuming his cat...a beachball of a cat. Humongoid. At first, I wondered why the cat wasn't running away...especially after having its ears sucked up...then it occurred to me that the pulchritudinous puss probably prefers to take it rather than expending energy by fleeing.

Sheesh that's a big cat.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here's some awesome liveblogging of the NBC upfronts by Virginia Heffernan: [link]

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My sister once commented how every time she turned on the vacuum the cat would get out of that room and as far away as possible as quickly as she could move. Then she said something about how maybe it was because of the time she sucked the cat's tail into the vacuum. um, yeah.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I watched that cat-being-vacumned video this morning, and it looked like he enjoyed the entire process. He kept squirming around to get more!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My dad used to take the Dustbuster to one of our cats. She loved it. The other one wasn't having any of it.
