Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Steph I am glad.

ita, I was looking for flats, but having no luck for what else I wanted (not clunky, ankle strap, covered toe) - no need for steel toes for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Everyone needs steel toes. Not everyone knows that yet. Consider this a favour.

My flats solution: ballet flats. Now that they're so popular they're scooping a bit low, but I can still find some that cover my toes right.

Sadly, I went to DSW yesterday to buy a pair to replace some of the ones I'm killing, and they look pretty much just like my last replacement pair.

Work is turning my brain to Friday afternoon mush, which is a damned shame since the people I was depending on to think for me are suffering the same affliction.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Why not have them?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I cannot imagine any reason for me to have steel toed shoes.

Seriously? You would love to kick jackholes wearing steel toes! "Oops!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like real weapons in my imaginary fights. It's a thing.

But imagine the damage you could do to the shins of the unworthy. Rock.

Okay, this is so not working. Home to laundry, if I can escape.

Art Crawl!!!

Mmmm, those sound delicious.

ita did you see the most recent Robin Hood yet? There were dancing Ninjas ! The style was very reminiscent of the fight between Aeryn and the character played by the actual Mrs. Browder from Farscape, if you remember that one.
