Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You could, you know, try calling them and speaking to a human being. I hear that works for some people.

I hope they fix it soon.

NO. NO FIXING. REPLACING.

This unit is done.done.done. This has been ongoing in one form or another for two years. They fix one thing, another breaks. Time to go.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hear that works for some people.

Hmm. It's an idea.

Well, not from work, anyway.

I really should have eaten lunch.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Actually, it's been 3 years. But the first year was when I had to turn the compressor off at the breakbox. Jesus. I wonder how many hours I've spent in that office, bitching at people.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

NO. NO FIXING. REPLACING.

That too, or instead, or something.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I used the Mafia as a metaphor for U.S. foreign policy. I may have mentioned Tony Soprano. This resulted in a complaint that I was contributing to anti-Italian stereotypes. I had not thought of this. To tell the truth I had worried more about using a hackneyed and stale comparison. Would most Italian-Americans consider this an insulting comparison?

Camille Paglia would, but then she's crazy....
