Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Of course the idea that one gets any extra time off for any given season...well, let's just say that Jesse's diamond flip flops may be chafing a bit, and I'm just not going to weep for her.

Yeah, I know... I think the summer hours are left over from years when there were no raises for years on end, so it's a little bonus that doesn't cost the company money.

I do feel the need to reiterate that I've never worked anywhere where annual raises were a given. Four free hours is the least they can do!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Everything always breaks on Friday. It's a conspiracy of technological meltdowns all up in my business.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

We get summer-hours kinda like yours, except we get half-days every Friday instead of alternate Fridays off. We also have to make up those four hours during the week by working extra the other days. Theoretically. Ours starts the week after Memorial Day though, and runs to Labor Day. It's nice.

Librarian Warlord

We get half days on Fridays, but because we can't actually close like some of the other offices, a skeleton crew must stay. Therefore, I have 2/3 Friday afternoons off during the Summer (which runs for us from June 1 - Aug 17). We don't have to make up any hours, and if you stay as part of the skeleton crew, it's assumed you'll be taking that time off the next week.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ellen Degeneres is too cool. She just gave an audience of pregnant women new washer and dryer sets.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That is really cool, Aurelia.

Do I want to apply for a job in Costa Mesa?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Did you know that you can search 40 states' unclaimed property databases at one site-- I found an entry for either my uncle or my grandma at our old house! [link]

(this totally sounds like a shill, I know)
