My weekend is the same length it was last week. Alas.

Oh & the weather forecast has stupid whitestuff on it.

Ailleann needs this in a bad way.

Oh, word. I'd just randomly run up to her and accost her with it, and laugh and laugh. She would probably think even less of me than she does now.

I'm making a bracelet that says, "What Would shrift Do?"

Again, word.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I'm making a bracelet that says, "What Would shrift Do?"

I'm thinking "glower" or "slounge" would answer that question quite frequently. And really? Both extremely effective responses to the world.

Just me then, huh.

You are not alone.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Cool. That midbrain thing explains the whole blind martial arts master trope.

What is this weekend thing of which you speak?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In defense of Mom, her feelings are hurt and all of the stuff I'm dealing with (feeling like I can't do anything useful, there is no control etc) must be compounded by two for her. I'm not her little girl anymore and she can neither fix my stuff nor her grandchildren's.

Well, sure, but the hope is that at least people deal poorly in new ways, not going back to the old teenage ways!

I hate those "will we get out early???" days. I wish anyone could just make a policy about it, but no. I am looking forward to my four-day weekend.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It took four or five posts referencing the holiday weekend before it dawned on me that people were talking about Easter.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

We get nothing. No early Thursday or Friday (though people will probably slide early), no Monday. WHY DOES MY SCHOOL HATE CHRIST?

I wish anyone could just make a policy about it

Unfortunately the policy would probably be that the staff never gets the early release.

And, my actual weekend will be 4 days, since I'm covering on Monday. Woe is me.
