ETA: Cash, it's some retraction of deadlines based on when money was taken out of my paycheque, etc. Me, I only care about the deadline you told me, and the point at which you told me the changes had been processed. I met both those. The rest is them trying to kill my brain.

I need to cook dinner. Will someone come over and chop up my squash for me? Other than that, the recipe's easy. But I don't feel like chopping vegetables. Wanna lay odds I'll just make some pasta dish instead?

I totally screwed over my new employee by giving her bad information in her interview, but I can't believe that HR didn't tell her ANYTHING about the benefits. Which she did not. Cripes.

Bah! And now I can't find phone numbers for a suddenly moved up deadline for which I have no information.

I'm ccing some emails and writing up some action items and breaking out of this crazy joint. I will not be chopping squash, however, and I feel good about that, though sad no one's chopping for Liese.

Maybe I will swim tonight, or maybe I'll take that damned Percoset and slepp. I hear the humans do that.

DH is out of town. I had a tomato sandwich, Bobby made Mac 'n Cheese, and Brendon made himself crab legs. It was an every person for themselves kinda meal. And now I have wine.

I have a velcro kitty.(not for dinner) She seems to have forgiven me sticking a pill down her throat. Good thing her short-term memory isn't very good.

I've been slapping a portabello mushroom burger with some colby jack and lettuce on a naan for dinner the past couple of days. It's amazingly filling and nummy. Would be even better with that cucumber yogurt sauce you get at greek places.

home. wall of smoke behind the building, I can't really tell how far away it is, it's just SO BIG. All the exits leading to Griffith Park/Los Feliz are shut down, so I went the back way. There's helicoptors everywhere, and lots of birds freaking the fuck out.

I scooped up Ruby for squishy hugs and she was all, "dude, that's enough. put me down. seriously."
