Happy birthday, GC!
Lori, yeah, maybe a bit more information would help.
I went on a vintage slip buying spree last night. I'm not sure why. I did need one, in preferably a pale pink, to go under a shirtwaist dress with a top to bottom lace panel in front, but I find myself with three purchased and many more watched.
They're usable as nightgowns, I guess, but I haven't worn a nightgown in many many moons.
I think it's because I was culling pictures of Dita Von Teese for provocateuse last night, and feel guilty for not being more glamourous.
Then again, it's her job. She doesn't feel guilty for not being more muscular, I'd bet. And I'm unlikely to transfer the time and effort required over from some other part of my life.
Coming into work today to deal with my hard drive expiring late Friday. NOW I remember just how much shit was local to my computer.
It's going to be 92 degrees out today. I have no idea what to wear to work. It's got to handle the (kinda long) walk from my car into the office, whatever perambulation I need to do at lunch, yet handle the AC chill.
Happy Birthday Gloomcookie!
My head hurts, my hips hurt, I have a sore foot. All this home repair is killing me.
That said, someone is building me a new set of backsteps today.
Thanks for the b-day wishes! It helps make up for the fact that it's on a Monday this year (groan).
Happy birthday, Gloomcookie!
Well, I made it to work this morning. I brought an incredibly healthy and nutritious lunch with me. I've been working steadily all morning.
Man, being virtuous makes me feel all dirty.
I totally forwarded that Globe article to my parents, to make sure they didn't miss it!
I stayed up too late last night. Stupid awesome book. Oh, speaking of which -- I'm finally reading Temeraire, and GOOD TIMES.
Thanks, Cindy! I'm so happy that quote made it in!
The whole interview was fun, but that quote was just awesome, Jon. When I read it, I felt just like Xander did, when Buffy threw the axe in the direction of the nattery watcher in, "Checkpoint."
