Also, right now I am eating a cupcake (leftover from the shower). Hooray!
Oh, and welcome back to the internets, Aimee and Joe!
I got an hour long massage for JZ after giving birth and she loved it. You might want to plan ahead to get another one after all that hard work.
That is an excellent idea, and I shall pass it on to DH.
My weekend is going really well. We had a fabulous date night. Taught all day Saturday, so we were tired and decided to give a miss to the coffeehouse/church. Watched the Derby. It was great! It snowed, so we made our last fire instead and cuddled up by that. I got every task on my weekend todo list checked off. The SO cleaned the whole house, including a great job on the bathroom. I got some good books from the library, plus spent $2 for books from their Friends of the Library sale. The dog's new natural, domestically made, food & treats arrived and he loves them. We're slowly introducing the food, but he spits out all the old food until he can find and eat all the new food. Then he eats the old food, but clearly under duress. We got the SO all packed up and sent off for the week. And today we took a walk with the dog.
Oh, and when the SO went to pick up our new (Subzero, yay!) refrigerator, he asked the auction guy what would happen if people didn't pick up their winning bids. He told him they'd put it back on auction again, so they did, and all the items I'd lost on are for sale again. So I've got a second chance, and since the SO saw them, he knows they're quality, and I can probably bid higher.
So now I've got a completely clean house. I'm going to go and loll around and watch elimination hockey now, and then the Amazing Race final.
And then I'm going to have workweek from hell.
But for now, I'm enjoying the weekend.
shrift, may I tag?
Heh. Sure.
And welcome back to the midwest, Aimee and Joe! I hope your family realizes that your proximity to Chicago means you have to visit often.

I wholeheartedly endorse this plan.
I agree with the other Chicago'istas. And I'll just mention that I may be visiting Ann Arbor sometime soonish.
Does anyone else follow Warren Ellis' links? Is the Battles song really saying "people will be evil when they eat a sandwich"? [link]
Columbus has a gifted graffiti artist running amok. He/she produces high quality work that is often mistaken for the actual advertising it's skewering
Okay, I LOVE the McDonald's one: [link]
Timelies all!
The con is now over. It was nice and enjoyable.(and the nominated book I couldn't finish did =not= win its catagory, thank dog. I would have wondered if I was in Bizzarro world had that happened)

Should I get dressed in outside clothes and go to TJs, then come home and take a nap, or take a nap and then go to TJs?
Weekend decisions are hard.
TJs first, because if you nap first, you might not want to go when you get up. (Or you might not get up until TJs is closed.)
