Columbus has a gifted graffiti artist running amok. He/she produces high quality work that is often mistaken for the actual advertising it's skewering. My favorite is the Hilton advert that was placed in the downtown hotel.
I'm glad today is Sunday. For a minute, I thought it was Monday.
Cash, I thought yesterday was Sunday, so there must be something in the air.
I mean, normal women must wear stuff like that all the time, right?

And I think the "90's" thing is still kind of up in the air. Edited to add that I'm pretty sure I read something about in a NYTimes Q&A thing, but I can't find that. However, searching the Times shows that they changed away from using the apostrophe some time this year.
I've marked up a picture of Brooke Shields, to approximate the damange Julia did to her brows (in blue). You have to click on the picture to enlarge it, so you can get the full effect. It might be a bit worse on her right brow (the one on the left, as you're looking at the picture of Brooke), but my hand isn't that steady this morning, and their brows aren't exactly the same. I've managed to stop laughing, to get Ben to stop laughing, and to get her father to see the funny side of it.
Considering she's just decided to change her hair too, I think maybe she's just fascinated with the idea of a makeover, or changing the way she looks.
Maybe. Last night though, it really felt more like poor impulse control, than anything else. The razor was pink. She was alone with it. It was a zipless shave.
Bangs? Long bangs?
I almost took that plunge last night, sara. She *just* grew her bangs out though. Her last haircut was the first one where the bangs were entirely integrated into the rest of her bob. She's been making noises about getting a pixie cut. I didn't want to mess with her hair, since she's talking about changing the style. It's always falling in her face though, so I'm going to encourage her to part it on the other side, so it falls over the right side of her face (her right brow took the brunt of the damage).
I'm sorry, but that's pretty funny. I mean, given that she's the one who has to live with effed up eyebrows, and there was no actual damage. I'm guessing it's like when I doodled all over the couch, when I was well old enough to know better. I just.... did.
Don't be sorry. I had to bite my tongue all night, not to laugh right at her. I tried selling her on the, "Someday we'll look back on this and it will all seem funny," aspect. So far, she's not buying.
Cindy, FWIW, I knew an emotionally stunted 15 year old boy who shaved off his eyebrows when I was in high school. His mother laughed at him to his face.I can't blame her.

not to scare you Cindy, but my Grandmothr shaved off her eyebrows as a kid and they never fully grew back. makes no sense given how everyone I know has eyebrows grow back (thus the tweezing and the waxing), but it was the case with hers.
That was my first thought -- not about your grandmother, obviously, but you always hear about that happening to people. I see a little stubble where she shaved, so I'm hoping that won't be the case, here.
I'm sorry Mac's being a pouty pants. Sometimes laughter is a great tension diffuser. I make with the funny when my kids are pouting or whining, and it works as often as not. You're a good mom, msbelle. You two will get there.
We had a really bad day with Owen. He's not interested in potty training but is flat out refusing to wear diapers, underpants or well...any pants at all. We had to draw a line today and it was not pleasant for anyone.
Owen cried only slightly more than me.
Oh, Cashmere. You're really getting it from all sides, lately. I hope you can lay down the law to him -- it's diapers or potty.

In other news, I think I'm about to need a new TV. Ugh! It took a while of freaking out to turn on this morning. Apparently, I have to decide if I get a cheap old-fashioned one, or a medium priced new fancy one. Because lord knows I'm not getting all the new hotness.
