Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is great: A photographer has a project to take a picture of a child from every country on earth, all of whom live in New York City. [link]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

QI is awesome.

It is! You should regale us with random facts you've learned from QI.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

TOO QUIET

What are people doing this weekend?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am going to learn how to shoot a shotgun and I am going to see Spiderman and I am going to sleep quite a bit, hopefully.

Not much -- I have undefined plans with a friend tomorrow afternoon, and I need to do at least some of the work I didn't do today. Possibly excavate my apartment...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm going to HH with girlfriends, then maybe to CAPE! The Bride of CAPE! [link] then Saturday to look for material for my Jessica Rabbit costume, then maybe back to CAPE! Bar on Sunday, then the back to work routine on Monday.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm going to a big neighborhood Kentucky Derby party.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Thanks for the link bon! Does it ever drag or refuse to load for you?

Yeah, it's a bit of a crapshoot.

It is! You should regale us with random facts you've learned from QI.

The activity that is three times deadlier than being in a war is not, as Jimmy Carr thought, three wars, but going to work. That show is awse. I may watch it all night.

Also, if you try to load up an episode, your computer freezes, you press ctrl-alt-delete a few times, then restart, and your computer says it is missing a file important to restarting, your hard drive is fried and you will lose about three years of locally saved work!

I guess it could have happened at a much worse time-- the aforementioned all-nighter-- and at least I had a guilt-free reason for leaving work at 6 and not going in this weekend.

What is even happening?

I'm going to a Little League practice at 9:30 on a Saturday. MORNING.

I am going to learn how to shoot a shotgun

My tip: press the butt into your shoulder hard to cushion the recoil. I see people on tv all the time with it practically caressing their shoulder and it makes me nuts. Where are you going to shoot?
