I think that proteins switch on the "I'm full" feeling. Carbs make you feel full fleetingly but proteins keep you going.
I'm a weirdo then. I've had plenty of protein. Still HUNGRY.
I thought fat was the thing that kept you feeling full longer, but while I haven't been avoiding fat, really it's hard to up one's fat intake when one is cutting out sugar and irrelevant carbs.
This was me when I did the low-carb thing a couple of years ago. Eating nothing but salad and protein, I felt hungry all the time.
Glad it's not just me.
PS: QI is awesome.
Yes. Yes it is.
Thanks for the link bon! Does it ever drag or refuse to load for you?
Cheese! Pepperoni! Avocado!
....I could go on.
NBC has rescheduled the Barbaro special again -- now it's on Primetime. 8 pm Eastern tomorrow night.
Oh, good, sumi. I was watching the hockey game that bumped it, and I was all, okay I'm enjoying the hockey, but I really wanted to see the Barbaro special, too.
Who are you cheering for in this Derby?
Fat switches on my "I'm full" feeling enough that I'll have a dab of mayonnaise (well, I would--gives me headaches now) if I knew I wasn't going to eat for a while.
I went for lunch and had a garden salad and then a coffee latte afterwards.
That's so not me that I'm feeling very dizzy.
I wasn't hungry enough to finish the whole salad either.
I'm having difficulty picking a horse this year. I like Nobizlikeshowbiz, Tiago, Curlin and I love Scat Daddy's name -- but is that a valid reason to choose him?
Guess what! One of our bank people just brought creme brulee! Yay afternoon sweets!
Hello - bacon!!!!
Ah yes. Doesn't jibe with the other diet goal of lowering my cholesterol. Which doesn't mean I don't ever eat it, but it does mean I try to avoid it.
But avocados? I'm so there.
