I cannot get my wireless to talk to the TIVO. I am having to do set-up via phone line.
I figured out the password, but still, I know I started a document somewhere with them all written down.

Also, I was feeling sorry for myself for having to stay all night writing a patent opinion while trying to avoid working on another all-night filing, then I got an email for a guy who had a vacation scheduled this week, got stopped at the border because his passport was expired, and is here now working all night on this filing. I had the same problem. Or the same symptom. It turned out the TIVO was making a DHCP request to my router, my router was replying with an IP address, but the TIVO claimed it didn't get it. I had to set the router and TIVO to use a static IP address for the TIVO.

Completely unrelatedly, I'm here trying to distract myself from the pain by going through all my open browser tabs and doing something about them...when I notice that Perv Mart rates all of its stuff from Sensual through to Extreme. I'm glad I can still be surprised.

msbelle is adorkable. as is ita. And I'm really not allowed to move further north. I really hate winter that much and barely survive this version. And NYC kinda is too much for me with that involved (I used to say no huge cities. But then LA got me and was weirdly attractive.) I'd have to give up CARS. And aimless drives to the boonies not 30 minutes away that are the antithesis of NYC. But I do wish it were a twenty minute drive to visit.
ita, I'm wishing you no more pain, no matter how ridic that might be. You can keep the chosen pain, but the other needs to go.

grr, my tivo goes through the motions of connecting to the mothership via the phoneline, but it doesn't seem to actually be doing it.
I am going to bed in the hopes that my watchful eye it the cause of the failure.
I am not usually tech retarded, but I think I need some help with this thing.
I am having one of those - you can't do anything right in your life anymore - weeks. I am I am I am. Apparently I have also become an all about me whineybutt. sorry.
