Our wings are not tired

I had a ham and cheese sandwich and a Splenda Diet Coke.

I can't afford my diet food this week (got some bills to pay instead), so I'm popping into the grocery store for a few staples to carry me through (cereal, milk, fruits/veggies, and some chicken that isn't freezer-burnt). That, with the few leftover meals and what I've got in the cabinets, should get me to next Monday. Now, if I can get through the grocery store without adding a few extra items into the basket, I'll be doing really good!! (Although I still have one freebie--if I ever find the B&J Colbert flavor, I'm getting it no matter what diet I'm on, because I want to try it really badly.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have still never seen the Colbert flavor. I think it's a vast right-wing conspiracy.

Compassionately intolerant

The current diet success is due, in part, to the avoiding of wheat (except for that one piece of wedding cake, yo)...so I'm making smoked salmon roll-ups with dijon, some greens and a touch of low-fat cheese...wrapped in butter lettuce leaves. It's amazing how well that works!

Now I'm looking around for other taco-like makings to wrap up. Bonus=tasting the filling more than the delivery system.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I saw it once, picked up a pint, and then it was gone again when I was at the store a week or so later.

It was good, but I still miss Bovinity Divinity.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have still never seen the Colbert flavor.

Me either. We've even tried the Ben and Jerry's store several times. Last time we were there, the owner was threatening to drive to a distribution point in Dallas and pick some up, because their order had been delayed so many times.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I found it in one store, once, but never again. Which is too bad, because it was delicious!

It was good, but I still miss Bovinity Divinity.

There was a flavor that had a huge swirl of rich fudge right through the middle that was sooo yum, but I can never find it any more, only the Karamel Sutra with the caramel swirl. Bovinity Divinity was also delish. My current favorites are the mint Oreo cookie and the Strawberry Cheesecake (with graham crackers), neither of which I've had for some time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Damn, I was going to go hunting for that tonight.

Since I can't eat any solids right now. I fractured a tooth. Went to the oral surgeon today, but there was nothing they could do because the fracture went so far down. So now I am down one tooth and $915. Fuck. And that doesn't even get to the issue of the cost for an implant or whatever. Plus I had to have a bone graft: somebody else's bone is in my mouth! Not sure how I feel about that.

What is even happening?

Oh brenda, you poor woman. How did that happen?
