So. My aunt is undergoing open heart surgery today, maybe right now. She had a heart attack a few weeks back and they put in a stent. Friday, she had a...I dunno. Anyeurism in her heart? Anyway, they're going in to fix that and do some other cleanup, I guess.

She's pissed because she's missing her quilt trip.

Punishingly Intricate

At least we got to see other buffistas. And roller derby. Which was all I hoped it would be, and more.

So sorry about sarameg getting lost and about everybody else standing in line while we played! But it was fun seeing everybody who made it and hoped everyone enjoyed the derby.

Am really sad you all missed seeing our dolphin on skates though. On skates! A dolphin! It was madness!

Poor sara's aunt!

sometimes you see larger women with those little strappy tank tops and you just want to say "honey, no. The shelf bra is for A and possibly B cups. You passed that long ago"

I fear this will be me. I dig the strappy tank tops so much. But I can't go out without something covering the tank because it makes me super self concious.

I'm exhuasted this morning and regretting that this is my last week of leave.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a plus-sized friend who has these incredible strappy tank tops with a full underwire bra built in. They look great on, and look hilarious off.

I have a great hate for the shelf bra camisoles/tanks cause I can rarely find camisoles without them these days, and they will never ever work for me because the band goes in the wrong place. I'm not looking for support from them, just coverage (I wear them under stuff, so my bras take care of the support issue.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've had little problem finding camisoles without shelf bras--probably because I'm looking for the shelf bras. That's how shopping seems to work. As for actual tanks, I really can't remember having bumped into any with shelf bras outside the VS catalogue.

Hey, you can cut the shelf bras out, like twisty did recently: [link]

Hah. Probably. I should actually amend my statement to include "in material I like and isn't crappy thin cotton or has trim I hate." Really, my problem is picky. As usual.

sara, if you look in Target's maternity section (I know. I know) they have a plethora of camisoles without bras. Which is ridonkulous if you ask me. I am like ita in that I am always looking for camis with shelf bras. though I've had a few with underwire which I dig.

Goal today: actually finish thank you notes. Seriously? there is something wrong with me.

also, does anyone know when postage rates increase?
