"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Gee, tomorrow I get to come in half an hour early so that I (and the rest of the staff) can be appreciated.

That reminds me of the ad agency where I worked when I had to skip lunch so that the other admin and I could plan our birthday thing. We were the only two with birthdays that month- within like 3 days of each other- and we'd rather just have let it go and go out to lunch with our SOs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So "All My Children" now has a rock band fronted by a transsexual? Soaps have changed since I watched them.

I hope that your workplace thinks appreciate = expensive gifts and not a few bagels, orange juice and boring speeches about how much you're all appreciated.

Also, you should go home a 1/2 hour early.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Allyson, the dedication sounds perfect. All three groups certainly deserve the props. (Did I just say props? I'ma leave it.)

Gee, tomorrow I get to come in half an hour early so that I (and the rest of the staff) can be appreciated.

Gee, if they really wanted to appreciate you, they'd make you take the day off. Such a hardship, I know.

Hec's ability to produce something under the gun and actually get paid for it impresses me.

What the hell happened to common sense, people? Oh that's right, it's not in the job description.

Dear people,

Why the fucking hell do you have to convert the *&#*##! dates to MJD format?!!! If people want to look them up, they have to convert back and it's a pain in the ass when there are 150 of them.

In conclusion, go spork your pretentious self.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

In all fairness, they do a pretty good job-- in addition to the breakfast, where they have a raffle for some cool stuff, they arranged three other outings we could choose between, and all of them are fun.

I'd just rather sleep the extra half hour.

Thrive to spite them

I assume I'll be appreciated tomorrow. The last few years the division heads have taken the support staff out to lunch but I don't know what's going to happen this year I haven't heard anything.

Although I did drop a couple of hints.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Our administrative core has been woefully ignored the last few years. This year the office manager extended a lunch invitation to all the administrative staff. Tis a nice restaurant, so I said yes.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Hec, that is very impressive. Go you!!

I doubt I'll be appreciated tomorrow - my boss is out, and there's that whole "leaving" thing. Hmmm, can I be bothered to care? Oh no, I think not. Huzzah!

SO! Hockey! 2nd round starts tomorrow! Yay! Canucks won last night! Yay! (Though why Dallas pulled their goalie so early is beyond me.) Who are people pulling for now?

Addendum:

And if you convert the WRONG DATE to MJD, use two sporks.
