I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I saw that this was already mentioned, but here's confirmation. RIP, David Halberstam. His book on the SNCC (The Children)was one of the best about the Civil Rights Movement.

Because books.

This is so minor, but it is 81 inside. I was actually comfortable with that until about 45 minutes ago.

You and me both. The temp dropped here because we had a thunderstorm (with lightning and everything!), but this room is ALWAYS hot. I'm sitting here with the windows wide open, in a tank top, and I'm SWEATING.

I do not think that word means what they think it means. Either that or you misspelled jackhole.

sometimes, people=strange and offputting.

I wish it were 81 here. Then maybe I wouldn't be cold.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just went outside to clean up the little garden outside since it rained and things are a bit soggy.

There's two random flats of flowers just sitting on the brick wall waiting to be planted, a couple of funky new candle holders, and a brand new garden hose.

We seem to have a garden fairy.

I like your garden fairy. That's truly lovely. Your landlord may suck, but you've got sweet neighbors (which is why I'm sweltering.)

And reminds me that it is probably safe now to replant my balcony buckets. Of course, there's an astronaut visit in May, and every time they are scheduled to come here in the past 5 years, we get a snowstorm that cancels it. However, for once, maybe I should try to go and get autographs for people.

I'd kill for a thunderstorm. Not just cause I like them, obviously. It's supposed to cool down (which, had I a/c, I'd be booing, but this apartment was built with the assumption of a/c) tomorrow. I'm cycling between "oh, it's not that bad" and "holy fuck!"

I'm thinking more obtuse than jackholish but yeah, fucking weird what some people think is "helpful."

Allyson, is this a new apartment? It's cool what you guys have started in your little garden space. In our college apartment, the Garden Fairy left us empty beer cans and cigarette butts.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Well, the baby in the documentary lives, so maybe that was what prompted it. But yeah. clueless.

our house is a toasty 70 degrees but in the AM it will be closer to 62 or so.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Gah, Kat. People.

Allyson, I am so excited about your little community garden.
