If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

and our Big Boss just called for a meeting with my whole department.

Last minute all-staff meetings, joy. Hope it's not anything too evil.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Pictures of fast food - ads vs reality.

I wonder if it means anything that the Subway (arguably the healthiest option) held up the best.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The Subway sandwich looked initially like the biggest bait and switch there--probably because I would look forward to the bread in that picture, and because I've given up on/don't like most of the other competitors.

They could at least put something in the announcements about whether it's good or bad news--unless they think the entire staff will run to their online brokerages and rat the company out.

But why is Gates & Gutters doing staffing and not the curriculum person?

Because they are INSANE. And drunk with imagined power.

People better never compare cookbook photos to what the food coming out of my kitchen looks like. I'm not good at pretty food.

(Also, I really want a beef and cheddar now.)

Hey, Kat, can I cut the security tag out of this black and white wrap Ann Taylor Loft dress?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously, after looking at those pictures, I still want nasty fast food.

That was totally anti-climactic -- she just said that our boss is still trying to figure out her health issues, and in the meantime we should feel free to bring stuff to Big Boss and Slightly Less Big Boss if we need anything.

Hey, Kat, can I cut the security tag out of this black and white wrap Ann Taylor Loft dress?

absolutely! HA that I left it in.

Apparently, I am expected at school tomorrow to teach. Um. No. I called the Admin Asst who is in charge of all of this stuff and told her that I don't have clearance from my doctor for the next two weeks. That put an end to it. Because I can't go back to work without a doctor's note.
