I feel bad. I'm coughing and wheezing and sneezing and blowing my nose constantly, and it must be hell on my coworkers in the other cubicles.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I've always wondered: does Hell have good dental insurance?

No, but I bet you'd get hazard pay. I hear it's on everyone's hot list....

Lee, I hate when that happens. Can you take a long lunch and do some window shopping or the like?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Make up a reason why you need to go to the Stanford library and go home instead!

Hmmm.

Eh. It's okay.

I'll tell you what really sucked: They never turned on the air conditioners.

I've heard the ninth subbasement is pretty cold though.

That would require actually leaving, and I think I'm too lazy for that, unless I'm going home.

Hey! You are me! Give it back!

Just tell them that somewhere on this earth it's quitting time right now, and you're going home.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I woke up at 12 today. One thing I love about being a grad student -- I can pretty much set my own schedule. Except that lately there have been some incidents that make me a bit scared to stay at the office too late -- I don't want to be the last one there.

I really need to get dressed and go grade papers for a little while. I really don't want to.

And it's filled with roaches.

But that was being taken care of by some guy with thick glasses who got moved down there. Kept muttering about a stapler. And fire.

Or I could just leave and see if anyone actually noticed.
