Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

OMG with a half an hour of screaming and crying and "Somebody help me, I don't want to sleep by myself" Dear lord. I am just recovering. Decidedly UNCUTE.

TV on Saturday is gone, books tomorrow night, also gone.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh, ack, msbelle. I hope the Uncute passes quickly, and doesn't come back much.

Because books.

Aw, msbelle, that's rough. That was always a big consequence here -- misbehavior results in no bedtime books. And the threat of it was usually enough to at least mitigate some stuff. All our kids have been very into the bedtime reading ritual.

Because I am so terribly lazy, though, I'm always leery of taking TV away, because with kids of a certain age it seems like the punishment is more yours than theirs.

What is even happening?

"Somebody help me, I don't want to sleep by myself"
Oh my goodness, that's not fair.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor msbelle.

ION, I'm watching Monday's Colbert, and I'm reminded of a funny thing my father told me. He works in a call center doing political fundraising, and recently heard the guy next to him say, "...no, not John Fucking Kerry, sir..." Heh.

hip deep in pie

Ack, msbelle, that's tough.

Does it make any sense that the part of my book order that was shipped Friday still hasn't arrived, while the part that was shipped Monday arrived yesterday?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Mac is a gorgeous kid.
