Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Cool, SA!

I think I've read my quota of Virginia Tech stories this morning, and may have to make a personal moratorium on them for the rest of the day. I do find it bitterly ironic that the gunman targeted several foreign language classes, which are after all, about learning to communicate and understand, when he had such problems with that sort of thing himself.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

it was lovely, theo.

My policy on the VA story, like most major disasters, is just to read the headline and skip the story itself.

What is even happening?

I read my fill last night. I think my fill was a grand total of three. Someone on my flist linked to a report by an AOL blogger who'd been in a writing class with him. He linked to two of the shooter's very disturbing plays. I wish I hadn't read them, and had stuck to the Globe's coverage.

Yesterday, someone mentioned being naturally concerned that the shooter's resident status was mentioned. In the article I read in The Boston Globe, it was mentioned to note that he was legally entitled to buy guns.

Thanks for the link, Jesse. Did you see that sarameg posted a comment about Mister Kitty?

Mac is so handsome. He also looks really happy and healthy. His haircut looks good on him too, msbelle.

Thanks, Jesse!

I think my dear departed Toshiro may have been fatter at one point. People used to laugh when they saw him....

hip deep in pie

Mac is so cute and his hair looks sharp.

I am so tired. Kill me now. Also, it seems that when I miss the first bunch of buses that leave at around 8:05 and gets me to work right on time, and get one of the buses that leaves 15 minutes later, I end up being oh, 40 minutes late arriving for work. That still didn't stop me from getting coffee on my way today. No coffee, no brain function.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a moment of panic when I got to work, because I thought I was relatively on time, but the receptionist was already here! She's never here until like 9:30! But then I looked at the clock, and sure enough, it was only ten past. Phew.

Mac is so handsome with his new haircut.

Me getting to work by 9:30 counts as an accomplishment. (Which I did.) (Today.)
