Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Aww, now I want a tiny cabana boy! He can hang out on a deck chair on my desk and make me tiny drinks with even tinier umbrellas.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

:: mind goes to a strange Talk To Her scene ::

And suddenly...I don't want one anymore...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There's an awesome story on NPR right now about online communities in relation to the V. Tech story. Really neat and inspired me to come in here to tell y'all. (((((((Buffistas)))))))). I love y'all.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, Raq, others? Is there a good source for baby accessories in black, instead of cupcakes and rainbows? Coworker keeps getting looked at funny by shop people.

I wish. Ebay.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Have we discussed Amber Benson's upcoming movie that seems to be about keeping cabana boys? [link]

No mention of pneumatic tubes, but it's still in production after all.

Trust my rage

In my office, we write most of our decisions and save them on a shared drive. They are then reviewed and printed by a supervisor. There is a few weeks backlog between when we write the decisions and when they are printed. Literally hours of work are saved on the shared drive.

Today, after receiving an email to delete our *own* personal stuff off the drive, someone went in and deleted all the stuff that was *not his*. Supposedly IT can restore as of Friday, but if not, there will be some stressed out people around here, including me. Hours and hours of work just gone.

Can I have my tiny cabana boy come to my office now, please?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If only you had been sending your work to your supervisor via pneumatic tube! Yikes.

Trust my rage

I know - with a pneumatic tube, it would still be around. All the luddites around here are going "I told you so!"

Our wings are not tired.

Yikes, that is not good, Stephanie.

There's an awesome story on NPR right now about online communities in relation to the V. Tech story.

I heard some of that. It sounded very familiar. The part I heard was discussing the reality of comfort provided by our online community friends. It should be up on their site. I'll look for the link.

I heard on NPR this morning how Facebook communities are being set up.
