The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Naps are very good.

So is wine.

hmmm.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went to the gym, went to lunch on the SF waterfront with some former coworkers (burgers and beers at Red's, yay!) and was further validated in changing jobs, stopped at the Body Shop and bought a new necklace at the craft stalls outside the Ferry Building, and then went and spent 2 hours at my salon, getting color and a cut and new eyebrows.

Good god, I love my new schedule.

Now I will put my glamour to use by... watching Stargate and chatting on the internets. Heh.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay naps! Yay wine! Yay Stargates!

How are you feeling, Kat?

and was further validated in changing jobs

It is nice to get that confirmation. Yep, good thing to be outta there!

I'm enjoying the end of the Heat game after the lovely Stargates.

Stargates are on our TiVo, Dallas Stars are on our screen.

I'm very much pro seatbelts. If I'm not wearing one I feel sort of naked -- and not in the good "WooHoo! Over here, Honey!" kind of way. I miss someone every day who didn't wear one once.

Kat, I'm glad you're at least home, where you might get a good night's sleep, not just a nap.

and was further validated in changing jobs

I felt this way, too, today after getting the gossip from the old place!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have no plans this weekend, which I suppose is good because I feel like crap.

Except I want to have plans. I just don't want to do anything.

A friend is driving up from LA tomorrow and I'll hang with her, and go to the theater (where I will sadly not see Sparky and her DH), and I think that means I should be cleaning house right now. Ew.

Sparky, isn't it nice to be so validated? I'm so pleased. Helps that I have awesome benefits and alternate Fridays off, yay!

OK, so my brother just called from a Dodgers vs. Padres game. I think. Neither of us are up on baseball, but this is courtesy of his cancer conference in LA. Beer; $12. All I know is we were having a fun convo about longevity and deprivation and something happened on the field and it got too noisy.

The whole thing makes me laugh.

I'm watching last night's GA clip show.

I really miss this show.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

That leads to stupidity and otherwise-preventable accidents.

okay, perhaps the cars themselves are not unsafe, just the people driving them. cause they do stupid shit ALL THE TIME. though apparently not in this case, as the driver was avoiding a truck that had swerved into their lane.
