To that end, I would love to hear some unvarnished suggestions for improving this very rough homepage design and this stab at a logo.
Some initial thoughts, hope they're helpful. Okay, what I like:
The colors -- you're promoting calm and order, these are soothing colors. I like the logo for much the same reason. The leaves and the lines are very organic and soothing.
I like the opening text, I like that you mentioned that you're trained.
What I don't like:
The font (cataneo?) is beautiful, but it appears funny, not fully realized. Some fonts do that, so I would change that
The menu items on the top are too small. Perhaps in a different font that wouldn't matter as much
You refer to yourself as Bj [last name]. Shouldn't that be B J [last name]?

it was freaking suburban. They are UNSAFE.
The Suburban has a five-star driver and front passenger safety rating and a three-star rollover rating. [link] It comes with a stability control system, which makes a big difference in correcting dangerous situations before they lead to a rollover, and side curtain first and second row airbags.
Smaller SUVs with a wheelbase of less than 100 inches actually have a higher propensity to roll over than the larger ones, but what really makes them unsafe is the driver who feels he/she is invulnerable in one. That leads to stupidity and otherwise-preventable accidents.

Beej--I agree with Vortex. I also suggest you take out "negative" habits, since that is implied--and even positive habits can have unhealthy effects.
