Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't suppose you managed to get a picture of this?

I was too busy clutching my circle skirt. But I had to come home and change anyway, so in a couple minutes I will be windproof and heading back out.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I keep wanting to stand at the window and watch the dust storm over the hills (which seems to have blown all its particulate matter further west, for the moment). But when I get near the windows for any length of time, a series of gusts will rattle the windows in their frames and I feel a sudden urge to take five big steps back, away from the big sheets of glass. Noaa is saying the gusts are peaking at 35mph.

Apparently it's not just a dust storm obscuring the hills. Part of Beverly Hills is on fire: [link] They're forcibly evacuating people.

All I can say is, ealier this week we had both the snowy sleet and the gale force winds. I'm perfectly happy to have shoved these things in either direction. Plus we took your Scola. Muah ha ha.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My folks arrive tomorrow. Whee. We're taking them with us when we go to our dance group's gig on Saturday.(The event is called Marching Through Time, and my dad's a history buff, so we thought this might work) The forecast is calling for thunderstorms. Did I mention the event's outdoors?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

According to jetBlue, the Scolapaloza Express has just entered Illinois airspace....

Cool! Tommyrot, I think my e-mail to the midwest list has been blocked.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I got an email from you via the list at 2:42. Is that what you're talking about? It seems to have gone through OK.

Perhaps your spam filter is blocking it?

I see it, aurelia. I'm be heading out for Scolapalooza shortly, and I'll relay the message. I can't stay out very late, but some of the other Chicagoistas might.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm watching a rerun of American Gladiators. And I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Okay, yeah, I'm kind of ashamed.
