Or have someone else deal if your coordination is compromised.

Um. No. Given where the incision is.

Kat, can you do oil or something on the tape at all?

I could but that is equally fraught and scary. What I did this morning was stand in the nice warm shower and then rip them. It wasn't so bad except for the stabby agonizing pain the subsequent dull pain that has been haunting me since.

Even the thought of the surgical tape removal makes me cringe. Me=big old wuss.

Me too!

OK, I'll take you at your word. I just don't want any more pain than is avoidable for you. Cause that's bad. t /understatement of the young century

Usually, I'm seeing people who say oil "awl" and on "own" as if we're all simple minded freaks. But, I got to see us fighting against expectations and social norms and being human. I'd like that to not go away.

I didn't even think of it that way, DJ. And thanks for pointing that out. It's funny, because (sans accent) that is kinda the community I came from (though...different. But similarly insular and not really gotten,) but was apart from, within. But I loved it. And I love it now, even as I was not really a part of it, but it is familiar. I can see the goodness and the wretched within and .... it's ...familiar. I guess.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Oh yeah. I don't think we're unique. I do think though, that "southern" is short hand in tv-speak for stupid and hateful, or at least bigoted. I like seeing us start out like that, and then get all fleshed out and stuff.

Also, re: FNL Poor Coach. How bad off are you when Buddy makes you feel like an ass?

My mom tells me that the tape should come off just when I bathe. Except I've been bathing for over two weeks and yet the tape? still very sticky.

Plus my doctor said to take it off this week. I snarled at her, I think and said, "easy for you to say."

Well, I was NM just barely north of Tx. All the news came from El Paso. NM isn't southern, but that part is texanized whether we like it or not. (Usually not. Water battles, anyone?)

A soak in Goo-B-Gone??

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Does Lush make a Goo-B-Gone bath bomb?

Removes sticky residue AND makes you glittery!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

FNL: Jeebus. We're only at the credits, and I"m tearing up.

Louisiana has a bit of that problem too. We're right next door, and also our own country in a lot of the same ways.

My cousin's boyfriend has become recently Louisianaized, and is wondering why we don't get oil money like Alaska. We tried to 'splain HPL and Standard Oil. He's still learning.

At least y'all are allowed to have refineries in-state. We had to ship the crude down & have the gas shipped back up.
