Cicadas. Full-on screamin' at twilight, drippin' with funksweat at 11 p.m., drinking cold beer on a still-hot porch, I'm gonna get me a truckful of napalm and nuke 'em so I can finally go to sleep, oh-jesus-it's-the-summer-of-the-every-17-years CICADAS.

Tennessee Williams
I wonder if the naming inspiration for Indiana Jones came from Tennessee Williams.
I can never think about Tennessee Williams without thinking about how he died.
Grace did well. They put a titanium clip on the hole which the pediatric cardio-thoracic (how's that for major speciality) was bigger than expected. He doesn't think they messed with her vocal chords (a big concern) and he said her lungs looked good, without pneumothorax issues.
After the surgery, she was still mostly paralyzed from the paralytic she was given, but was breathing easier. Her heart rate had fallen and the percentage of oxygen she needed on her vent settings was the same as room air (21%) which is a good sign.
Here's to hoping that this means her lungs will get better and better and she'll grow stronger and stronger.
